Greetings
Dear members of the Korean Skull Base Society,
I'm Bong-Jin Park, who has been inaugurated as the president of the Korean Skull Base Society since December 2023.
Since its foundation, our society has achieved remarkable achievements through the sacrifices and efforts of many senior professors and senior members. I am sincerely grateful to the former presidents and executives who have done their best to develop the society. Based on the development so far, I will try to make it a year for our society to grow further.
In particular, this year will be the 30th birthday of our society. In addition to academic achievements, we will strive to promote friendship among members, while also creating an atmosphere where many members can actively participate in academic events.
In July 2024, we are preparing many members to attend the Japanese conference as the first academic conference after signing an MOU with the Japanese Society for Skull Base Surgery.
I won't be able to solve all the many pending issues of the conference for a year, but I'll do my best to respond.
We ask for the active participation and cooperation of various members.
I wish you harmony and good health in your homes and workplaces.

History
The Korean Skull Base Society has followed the unchanging path.
For the purpose of pursuing the development of the discipline on the study, diagnosis, and treatment of the skull base disease and the friendship among members, the Korean Skull Base Society was founded in 1994.
The Korean Skull Base Society will make an incessant effort on developing the study relating to the diagnosis and treatment of the skull base disease.

The skull base surgery was decided to be the official journal of the Korean Skull Base Society.
. The agreement with Madjid Samii, Chief Editor, was reached on making the Skull Base Surgery as the official journal of the Korean Skull Base Society in the joint meetings of JSSBS, KSBS, and NASBA held in Hawaii. As the result, the title of the Official Journal of the Korean Skull Base Society was published on the cover page from Vol. 8, No. 2, 1998.

Journal
Journal of Korean Skull Base Society (J Korean Skull Base Soc) is an international, peer-reviewed biannually (30th May and 31th October) journal of medicine published in Korean or English. It is the official journal of the Korean Skull Base Society publishes original contributions valuable to the advancement of medical diagnosis and treatment.
The Journal will contain editorials, review articles, original articles, and case reports. All the authors listed in the manuscript must have prepared according to the following policy and instructions in J Korean Skull Base Soc on submission of manuscript.
J Korean Skull Base Soc follows the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication (http://www.icmje.org/) if not otherwise described below.
Any physicians or researchers throughout the world can submit a manuscript if the scope of the manuscript is appropriate.
Only those manuscripts which are original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not currently being considered for inclusion in another
publication will be considered for publication in J Korean Skull Base Soc
